Shauna has a passion for developing children in their own faith. Her own story is full of ups and downs. She did not grow up with Christian parents but did have Christian influences. At age 4 she began spending summers with her aunt and uncle in Ohio. They were a Christian family and taught her what a family is supposed to be like and how to live for Christ.
Beginning at age 10 during the school year she attended church on her own attending children’s and youth ministry until age 17 when she graduated high school.
After graduation, she did not know how to go to “Big Church” and wandered away until age 30 at which time God grabbed ahold of her life and called her to His service. She has been serving in children’s ministry since that time. Shauna started out at Prescott Nazarene as a volunteer in Children’s ministry and became the Children’s Pastor in 2013.
Shauna graduated from Nazarene Bible College and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from North Western Nazarene University. She was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2016.
Pastor Shauna is an effective and hardworking children’s pastor who will love your children and your family.
Rich was born and raised in Bayonne NJ. Rich’s life has been marked with music as both his father and older brother were professional drummers. His mother was very involved with community groups and The Sweet Adeline’s Singing Group. At the age of 14 a cousin showed Rich a few chords on an old guitar and his interest was sparked. Later in life he recognized his unique strumming ability as truly a God given talent.
After graduation from High School Rich was spotted by the producers of the 1910 Fruitgum Company. Impressed with Rich’s voice, guitar playing and animated stage presence, he was approached and asked to formally audition and joined the group. Through recordings Rich made with the ‘Fruitgum” Company, he was awarded the RIAA Gold Record Award to commemorate the sale of more than one million copies of several hit singles.
Touring with this band Rich appeared in concert with notable groups like, “The Monkees”, “Sly and the Family Stone” and “The Ohio Express”. He also composed songs for two albums, “Special Delivery” and “Hard Ride” which were released internationally, all this at age 18.
Some years later he heard of an audition for the Broadway Show “BEATLEMANIA”, Rich was encouraged by his friends to “go for it”. Showing up for the audition and seeing the reality of the hundreds of other hopefuls, Rich was thrilled to hear the news that he had gotten the part. For the next 4 years he appeared on Broadway and in major cities throughout North America as “George Harrison” in the world-renowned show.
Rich received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1973. After four years of touring and serving his own desires, Rich decided to say “yes” to the voice of the Lord. He enrolled in Advanced Christian Training School and began to attend church faithfully. Graduating as valedictorian, Rich became actively involved in music ministry as worship leader at Faith Fellowship Ministries. He began with a small group but the music ministry grew to include a 20 piece orchestra and a 100 voice choir.
A highlight in ministry came when Rich had the opportunity to lead worship for a live praise & worship recording for an Integrity Hosanna.® praise album entitled “Almighty.” He was also blessed when his original song “Let Everything That Has Breath” was selected for the top selling praise & worship recording by Ron Kenoly, entitled, “Lift Him Up.”
First on his priority list, just after his relationship with the Lord, is his beautiful wife, Cathy. Rich is committed to the call of God on his life and continues in worship as in life to, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.”
Pastor Rich came to Prescott Nazarene in 2016 as our Lead Worship Pastor and continues to be a gifted worship leader and administrator.
Raised in Phoenix AZ, Phil accepted Christ at the age of eight. Influenced by his parent’s involvement in worship music, he began participating in ministry as a young teen. At age 16 he was worship leader and choir director at his small eastside church. His love for Christ and early musical training led him to ministry in college with a select group of traveling students. Singing in hundreds of churches across the country he traveled full time 21 months.
Since College Rich has held worship leadership positions in several churches around the country. He and his wife Sheila have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Phil came to Prescott Nazarene in 2016 and is a gifted worship leader and able to lead people of all ages in worship. He enjoys a large community of friends and is always reaching out to others to show the love of Jesus.
